Recognition should be a right, not a privilege
We believe every team deserves tools that make people feel valued, regardless of company size or budget.
Our Story
TeamToast was born from a simple observation: the best employee recognition platforms were priced out of reach for small and mid-sized teams. Companies with 10 or 20 people were expected to pay enterprise prices just to say "great job" to a colleague.
We believe every team deserves tools that make people feel valued — not just the ones with enterprise budgets. That's why we built TeamToast with a genuinely free tier for up to 25 users, with all features included. No artificial limits. No upgrade walls. No hidden fees.
Today, TeamToast helps teams send toasts, run pulse surveys, award badges, and build a culture of recognition — all from the chat platforms they already use. Whether you're a startup of 5 or an organization of 500, TeamToast grows with you.
How TeamToast Started
The idea for TeamToast came from firsthand frustration. As a small team trying to build a positive workplace culture, we evaluated every major recognition platform on the market. What we found was discouraging: most tools cost $3–5 per user per month, locked core features behind expensive tiers, and only supported Slack or Microsoft Teams — never both, and certainly not Google Chat.
We knew there had to be a better way. Recognition should not be a luxury reserved for companies with dedicated HR budgets. A team of 15 people deserves the same tools as a team of 15,000. So we set out to build the platform we wished existed: one that includes every feature on every plan, works natively across all three major chat platforms, and offers a genuinely free tier with no time limits.
What started as a side project quickly became a mission. We heard from hundreds of teams around the world who shared the same frustrations — scattered tools, low engagement, and budget pressure that made recognition programs feel like a luxury instead of a standard. TeamToast exists to change that reality.
Our Mission
Our mission is to democratize employee recognition. We want every team, regardless of size or budget, to have access to world-class tools for celebrating great work. Recognition drives engagement, reduces turnover, and builds the kind of culture people want to be part of — it should never be gated behind enterprise pricing.
We are committed to three specific goals: keeping a genuinely free tier for small teams, integrating with every major chat platform so teams can recognize from where they already work, and including all features on every plan so there are no upgrade walls or hidden costs. If you are a team of 25 or fewer, TeamToast is free — forever.

Our Team
TeamToast is built by a remote-first, engineering-driven team that believes great software should be simple to use and accessible to everyone. We are a small team that moves fast, ships often, and listens closely to the people who use our product every day.
Our team brings together experience in product engineering, workplace culture, and platform integrations. We are passionate about building tools that teams actually enjoy using — not tools they are forced to adopt. Every feature we ship is designed with simplicity, privacy, and real-world usage in mind.
